Art Notes
2014 marks the 100 Year Anniversary of one of the great American ballparks, Wrigley Field™. From the ivy-covered brick outfield walls to the hand-turned scoreboard to the main entry marquee, Wrigley Field™ – home of the Chicago Cubs™ – has fielded memories and dreams for generations of baseball lovers. Fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, have cheered from its stands and neighboring rooftop bleachers, singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game™” with Harry Caray.
In the Thomas Kinkade Studios painting, Wrigley Field™: Memories and Dreams, we celebrate this great ballpark and the great traditions of yesterday; traditions that are our very roots, and which remind us of all that is great about our lives. It’s those memories that enable us to dare to dream, and risk new and better tomorrows.
Baseball is a part of our past reminding us of all that was once good and could be again.
