Art Notes
While visiting England one fall, Nanette and I decided to take a driving trip to the lake district — a beautiful area of England known for its spectacular scenery. While there, we stayed in this cottage, interestingly enough once owned by Beatrix Potter, the famous creator of Peter Rabbit and other stories. The cottage was part of a large farm and as I worked on the painting, I was surrounded by an assortment of chickens and geese, who took more interest in my lunch than in my painting! By the way, the room we stayed in is the one at the upper left of the cottage.
